Job Title: Boxing Operative
Responsible to: Team Leader / Team Manager
Main Role:
To ensure finished products are packed, labelled, palletised, and stored correctly in accordance with company procedures. The role supports product quality, food safety, stock rotation, and efficient factory operations while maintaining a safe, clean, and hygienic working environment.
Main Duties:
- Pack finished products into boxes according to specified pack sizes and seal correctly.
- Check labels, box ends, dates, weights, batch numbers, and barcodes for accuracy before use.
- Ensure all boxes are labelled correctly and remove and dispose of any obsolete or incorrect labels.
- Pack mixed cases as required and complete all associated records accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment always.
- Follow all food safety, quality, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
- Complete start-up and pre-operational checks as required.
- Remove and move products from blast freezers following company procedures.
- Monitor and record product temperatures and report any non-conformances to the Team Leader or Management.
- Operate the pallet wrapping machine safely and effectively following training.
- Operate the boxing robot to palletise finished product boxes following training.
- Support stock rotation and storage of finished goods within the Goods Out freezer.
- Identify and report packing, labelling, equipment, or product issues.
- Complete production records and routine operational checks accurately.
- Assist with stock control of packaging materials and consumables as required.
- Support the training and development of new team members where appropriate.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and other powered equipment, where trained and authorised.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by management to support the day-to-day running of the factory.

Shift Pattern:
Weekend (Saturday & Sunday) – 7am to 4pm (30-minute unpaid break)

17 hours per week
